Merkittävin häviäjä on Internet Explorer jonka osuus on puolittunut vuoden takaisesta 38% prosenttiosuudesta vajaaseen 19%. IE:n käyttäjien osalta eri versiot jakaantuvat melkein tasan 7, 8 ja 9 versioiden kesken.
Safari ja Firefox ovat säilyttäneet omat % osuutensa. Firofox on jopa kasvattanut sitä 2% -yksiköllä -> 52%. Safarin osuus on noussut marginaalisesti 7% -> 7.6%.
Eniten osuutta on nostanut Googlen Chrome jonka osuus on nousut 2.4% -> 8.6%.
Mobiiliselainten ja hakukoneiden osuus oli vuosi sitten vain 2% kun tänä vuonna niiden osuus on 10% luokkaa.
Sametime Client (rich client) tukee useiden Sametime -yhteisöiden määrittämistä. Itselläni on käytössä yrityksen oman Sametime -yhteisön lisäksi mm. LotusLive, IBM Greenhouse, Bleedyellow ja extst.ibm.com -yhteisöt.

Genii Software | Lotusphere 2012_Sessions Databaseversio 0.2. "Update session database from shared replica" -toiminto tietokannan näkymässä luo connection dokumentin Tranquility/TurtlePublic -palvelimelle josta voi replikoida päivitykset tietokantaan. Lisäski näkymässä on toiminto "Add Selected to My calendar" jolla halutut sessiot voi lisätä omaan kalenteriin.
Sovellus on ladattavissa nimellä "LSMobile" iTunes App Storessa. Ja iPad versio löytyy nimellä "LSMobileHD". Asennukseen jälkeen "Reload" lataa sessiot sovellukseen. Kaikkia sessioita ei edelleenkään ole aikataulutettu joten muista ladata päivitykset "reload" -toiminnolla aika ajoin.
Citrix XenApp on sovellusten virtualisointiteknologia jota on käytössä melkein yhtä laajalti kuin Notesia - XenApp lisenssejä on käytössä hieman yli 100 miljoonaa. Notes Client 8.5.3 tukee XenApp versiota 6.0 (seuraavan versioon on luvattu tuki XenApp versiolle 6.5). Käytännössä XenApp 6.0 tuki tarkoittaa tukea myös Windows 2008 Serverille R2 (64 bittinen). Tätä on XenAppia käyttävien organisaatioiden puolesta odoteltu koska tämä mahdollistaa useampien Notes Standard clienttien ajamisen XenApp -palvelimessa. Whitapaperissä on mitattu kuinka paljon yhdellä palvelimella voidaan palvella XenApp käyttäjiä ilman että vasteajat heikkenevät liikaa. Suorituskykytestaus on tehty hyödyntäenRational Performance Testeriäja siihen saataviaCitrix -laajennuksia.
XenApp 6.0 palvelin 32GB muistilla ja kahdella 2 GHz Quad-Core prosessorilla kykeni palvelemaan 130 käyttäjäistuntoa ennenkuin vasteajat alkoivat heiketä. Tällöinkin muistia oli vielä käytettävissä mutta prosessoriteho oli suorituskykyä rajoittava tekijä. Useammalla suorittimella varustettu palvelin olisi mahdollisesti pystynyt palvelemaan vielä isompaa käyttäjämäärää samalla muistimäärällä.
Whitepaperissäon ohjeet XenApp palvelimien optimoimiseksi Standard Notes clientin kanssa. Lisäksi merkittävä Notes clientteihin liittyvä optimointiasetus "jaetuissa" ympäristöissä on mahdollisuus jakaa Java -luokkia eri Notes client instanssien välillä.
When running your Notes Standard 8.5.3 client in a XenApp environment, it is recommended to
enable the following optimization:
• Lotus Notes Shared Class Cache for Citrix XenApp running Lotus Notes 8.5.3.
The Notes Shared Class Cache for Citrix allows the multiple Notes users on a Citrix server to share
some of the Java classes, ensuring that each Notes instance does not load its own copy of the
class files. This in turn allows you to reduce memory usage for each Notes user.
To enable the Java Shared Cache Class for Notes 8.5.3:
In the [notes install path]\framework\rcp\deploy\jvm.properties file remove the
",singleJVM" option from the line:
vmarg.Dshare=-Xshareclasses:name=xpdplat,controlDir=$
{prop.jvm.shareclasses.loc},groupAccess,keep,nonfatal
Then, change the Shared Class cache location to a shared/common path in the following line from:
jvm.shareclasses.loc=${rcp.data}/.config/org.eclipse.osgi
to something like:
jvm.shareclasses.loc=c:/temp/xpdplat
This directory should allow write access for all users. Note that the Notes client will not start if this is
not done correctly.

The command-line options for specifying a custom data directory for multi-user install or upgrade
are as follows:
SETMULTIUSER:
• Only supports "1" as a value; simply makes the install default to multiuser mode instead of
single user mode.
MULTIUSERBASEDIR:
• Specifies the root location of user data files and corresponds to "DataPath" in the registry.
• Supports environment variable expansion so you can use the !USERNAME! variable to
designate a user-specific location.
• If existing data directories are being used, they should be in a path starting with
W:\<username>\Lotus\Notes\Data.
• You can use a file server, but there is a constraint on the data directory path in that you must
keep the "lotus\notes\data" part.
Prerequisite: The data directory of the users should be in a path ending with “Lotus\notes\data”.
Assumptions:
• The existing user data directory formula is c:\userdata\[USER SPECIFIC
VARIABLE]\Lotus\notes\data
• The [USER SPECIFIC VARIABLE] is %username%
• For user1 the path will expand to c:\userdata\user1\Lotus\notes\data (existing data directory of
user1). For user2 the path will expand to c:\userdata\user2\Lotus\notes\data (existing data
directory of user2), and so on.
MULTIUSERCOMMONDIR :
• Specifies the root location of the shared data files (for example, templates) and corresponds to
"CommonDataPath" in the registry; also supports environment variable expansion.
CITRIX :
• Only supports "1" as a value. Changes how some custom actions execute during the install so
that the Notes.ini is written in the correct location
